Algae companies build facilities for increased production

Companies in the algae industry have been on the rise, generating interest from entrepreneurs, as shown at the summit being hosted by Algal Biomass Organization. For one, Solazyme is gearing up to build facilities that will produce various algae-based products such as food oils and diesel. Another company, Sapphire Energy, is in the process of making ponds for an algae-for-fuel project in New Mexico.
