Group calls for contingency plan for HIPAA Version 5010 standards

The Medical Group Management Association has suggested HHS should immediately release a contingency plan for the health care industry's transition to new electronic transaction standards under HIPAA Version 5010. According to the organization, 4.5% of providers reported having completed their Version 5010 implementation, while half of respondents said the effort was 26% to 99% complete.
