Okla. district uses mobile app to connect with students, parents

The Norman School District in Oklahoma has introduced its own mobile application for both iPhone and Android devices. The free app, which includes Spanish translation, will push messages from the district, plus individual schools, and will provide information from school-lunch menus to a portal for checking students' grades.
