Study: Ryan health care plan would halve Medicaid rolls

Republican vice presidential nominee Rep. Paul Ryan's proposal to repeal the Affordable Care Act and transform Medicaid into a capped block-grant program would reduce Medicaid enrollment by up to 37.5 million people, leaving many uninsured, an Urban Institute study found. If implemented, the plan would reduce government health care spending by $1.7 trillion over 10 years, the study found.
