Report: 37% of Nevada public schools missed NCLB goals

A report released yesterday said 210 of the state's 567 public schools did not meet goals for yearly progress as defined by the No Child Left Behind Act. Nearly half of the schools that didn't meet benchmarks were classified as "in need of improvement," putting them at risk of facing sanctions, the report said.
