La. lawmaker's bill aimed to aid vets acquiring franchised businesses

Rep. Richard Baker, R-La., has introduced legislation designed to help military veterans become small-business owners. The Veterans Self-Employment Act would establish a five-year pilot program that allows vets to apply a portion of their educational benefits to defray a portion of franchise training costs.
