Recent quarter boosts Kellogg's profits

Kellogg Co.'s snack sales jumped 11% in the U.S. and Canada in the past quarter, buoyed by its new granola bars and an increased marketing budget. The company's North American frozen foods unit also grew significantly, thanks to its Morningstar Farms vegetarian burgers and Eggo waffles brands.
