$170M renovation to Chicago's Palmer House called a success

Developer Joe Sitt may be having trouble winning approval for hotel and condo plans in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn, N.Y., but he is winning praise for his $170 million renovation of the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago. The renovation included interior and exterior improvements, and, in addition to upgrading about 1,000 rooms, the project included adding an underground parking garage and replacing unattractive fire escapes with interior fire stairs.
