Analysis: TV ad haul set to tumble after election

Record political spending is giving life to the shrinking TV advertising market, but some are estimating that overall TV spending may be down for 2008 even with political ad revenues. Marci L. Ryvicker, VP for equity research at Wachovia Capital Markets, said: "The finance guys, the auto guys, the retail sector are used to getting pushed off the air by the political ads and then returning, but this year, they won't be coming back."
