Boston city leaders to weigh proposal to level SAT playing field

Few children from low-income families have access to pricey SAT-prep courses, so the Boston City Council in December will consider a proposal that seeks to introduce free online SAT tutoring for city students. "We have a responsibility to make sure that students of all income levels have a real chance to attend college, as educating our youth is the key to assuring Boston's future," said council member Michael Flaherty.
