EU acknowledges higher flight costs under CO2 plan

EU regulators estimate that new emissions policies approved Friday could add as much as $50 to the cost of a round-trip flight between New York and Europe beginning in 2012. Airlines say the combined annual cost to the industry could be as high as $4.4 billion.
