Longest pedestrian bridge to be worked on over Hudson River

An old train bridge may be renovated into the $35 million Walkway Over the Hudson. If so, the bridge will stand as the longest pedestrian bridge in the country when completed in 2009. The bridge will span more than a mile in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., more than 200 feet above the Hudson River.
