U.S. kills eight in helicopter strike in Syria

A U.S. helicopter operation that entered Syrian air space in pursuit of a group Iraqi officials claimed to be known terrorists killed eight people in a strike in Syria six miles from the border with Iraq. Iraqi officials claimed the group had conducted attacks along the Iraq-Syria border, while Syria alleged that the U.S. had struck civilians. U.S. officials say that many suicide bombers and militants enter Iraq through the border with Syria.
