Incursion reported on new LAX taxiway

Federal investigators want to know how two planes passed within 15 feet of each other at Los Angeles International Airport on Sunday, despite a new $83 million taxiway designed to prevent such incursions. An FAA spokesman said an Embraer E-190 regional jet rolled past the hold bars on the centerline taxiway, coming within several yards of a Boeing 757 taking off from the adjacent runway.
