Report: Israel abuses Palestinian water rights

A report by Amnesty International reveals that access to water for drinking, cleaning and agriculture is inadequate for Palestinians living throughout the West Bank and Gaza. The report accused Israeli authorities of placing unreasonable and unfair restrictions on water in Palestine, which forces costs onto taxpayers in nations that provide aid to Palestinians. Israel draws 80% of mountain aquifer resources located primarily in the West Bank and taps the Jordan River before it reaches the West Bank.
