Stimulus funds are expected to boost 2010 spending on engineering

Government spending on engineering projects rose 18.1% for the second quarter on a year-over-year basis. In contrast, business engineering investment dropped 11.5% for the second quarter. Major infrastructure projects funded by the economic stimulus package should boost engineering in 2010, analysts say.
