Wi-Fi usage skyrockets for smartphone users, AT&T says

AT&T says its third-quarter numbers show that when it comes to its customers making Wi-Fi connections, smartphones have surpassed laptops as the device of choice. Customers made 25.4 million connections on AT&T's Wi-Fi network in the third quarter -- far more than the 20 million connections made in all of last year.
