Consumers remain cautious, expect holiday bargains

A survey from Accenture shows that 83% of shoppers plan to spend the same or less over the holiday season compared with 2009. Of survey respondents, 53% said they probably won't shop on "Black Friday." Still, sales are important, with 87% of respondents saying they will require a discount of at least 20%, and 25% saying they won't buy unless the item is marked down at least 50%.
