Holiday Inn aims to make hotel bars livelier

Holiday Inn has been undergoing a $1 billion makeover of its hotels worldwide. Now that the overhaul is nearly complete, the hotel chain is turning its attention to redesigning its hotel bars. InterContinental Hotels Group, the parent company of Holiday Inn, revealed plans for what it is calling the "social hub." The idea is to make the hotel bar the center of several services, including the business center, restaurant and game room.
