OPEI cautions outdoor equipment owners about using E15 gasoline

The Environmental Protection Agency's recent approval of the use of gasoline with a 15% ethanol in vehicles built from 2007 onward would have serious effects on boats, older car engines, lawn mowers and other small-engine equipment. OPEI advised outdoor power equipment users to protect their products by not using E15 fuel. "Almost without exception, current equipment is not designed, built or warranted for mid-level blends," OPEI Vice President Kris Kiser warned.
