Bloomberg considers plan to extend NYC's No. 7 subway to N.J.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said he is at work on a proposal to extend the city's No. 7 subway to New Jersey. A $250,000 study was commissioned to analyze the plan. “Since we began exploring this idea, we continue to think it has a lot of potential as a way to cost-effectively improve regional transportation and also create thousands of jobs," Bloomberg spokeswoman Julie Wood said.
