Kidney stone patients may have higher risk of diabetes

People with a history of kidney stones had a 30% increased risk of developing diabetes over five years, compared with those who had not had kidney stones, data on more than 94,000 Taiwanese adults revealed. However, the reason behind the link between kidney stones and diabetes is still unclear, experts reported in the Journal of Urology.
