Dual language programs aimed at global careers for Utah students

Utah's aim to prepare students to be competitive in an increasingly global marketplace has led to a push for 100 dual language programs in the state's schools by 2015, with 25 new programs slated to begin next school year. Many districts -- offering instruction in Chinese, Spanish, French and other business friendly languages -- recruit certified foreign teachers for language instruction on one to three year work visas.
