Pa. health care providers can apologize to patients without fear of legal fallout

Health care professionals may express condolences and apologies in an effort to show kindness to suffering patients without fear of legal repercussions under a new Pennsylvania law that will protect those apologetic words from being used in negligence lawsuits. However, the law does not prevent admissions of fault or negligence from being used in court cases.
