Researchers squeeze light to improve MEMS sensors

Researchers at the California Institute of Technology have developed a method of squeezing light to overcome random quantum fluctuations in microelectromechanical system devices. The work was done under the Optical Radiation Cooling and Heating in Integrated Devices program funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
