Texas' $2.5B North Tarrant project reaches milestone with last bridge demolitions

The $2.5 billion, 13.5-mile-long North Tarrant Express project in Texas was set to reach a milestone this past weekend with the demolition of the last two of eighteen bridges that need to be demolished before road work begins. The project will add toll lanes and reconstruct frontage roads and main lanes. "We are making such progress that I wouldn't be surprised if we beat the June 2015 contract date," said Robert Hinkle, a North Tarrant Express spokesman.
