National organization issues final report on WTC attacks

The National Institute of Standards and Technology released its final report this week detailing why the World Trade Center collapsed in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. The report, released at a House Science Committee hearing, makes recommendations on safeguarding high-rises in the future. But critics argue the report took too long to produce and makes recommendations that are not specific enough to be quickly incorporated in building code changes.
