Boeing negotiators turn focus to engineers' union:

Boeing Co.'s tentative agreement with striking machinists is seen as a boost for the company as it enters final negotiations with engineers this week. Two contracts with 21,000 workers represented by the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace are set to expire Dec. 1. The union last struck in 2000, when engineers walked off the job for 40 days.
