Kentucky creates clean energy with hydropower plants

Kentucky's new hydropower facilities will help the state play a role in reducing global warming and creating energy security. The Mother Ann Lee generating station on the Kentucky River in Pleasant Hill is one of four new hydropower facilities either working or in the planning stages. There are 20 additional potential hydro projects at dams in the state that have obtained preliminary permits.
