Nashville's Hutton Hotel is plenty green without LEED

The Hutton Hotel in Nashville, Tenn., proves that you don't necessarily need Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification to go green. The hotel's developers said the costs and complicated paperwork required for LEED certification scared them away, yet the hotel is described by Hotel Interactive editors as being among the most sustainably focused they have seen, with features including a recycling program, bronze exterior glass for thermal insulation and reclaimed wood furnishings.
