Wisconsin group pushes for rooftop community garden at new library

A grass-roots group wants a rooftop community garden on a proposed library in Madison, Wis. The garden would be the first to top a city library and would include 30-inch-high raised beds for growing tomatoes, basil and other vegetables and herbs. But the project would add a hefty $3 million to the $37 million building plan, which may force supporters to ground their efforts.
