Aqueduct Race Track in New York City began construction on a slot-machine casino Thursday with plans to open in the spring. Gov. David Paterson joined Genting International to celebrate the start of its Resorts World New York project, which will feature 4,525 slot machine-like video lottery terminals and two restaurants. The casino is expected to generate more than $300 million in annual tax revenues for the city of New York.
