Calif. HSR project "a powerful force" for economic, job growth

A proposed bullet-train project in California would provide a "common sense" alternative to the state's transportation infrastructure needs and bring economic and job growth in the short and long term, writes Julian Canete, California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce president and CEO. "California will need to invest in a viable, long-term solution for the gridlock on our roads and at our airports, and high-speed rail is a cost-effective option," Canete said.
