LightSquared tangles with GPS group on eve of testing

More testing is set to begin on LightSquared's network next week amid assertions that the company's plan to build a wholesale national wireless network would interfere with GPS navigational devices. LightSquared on Thursday touted a solution for the problem -- a partnership with PCTEL to make a retrofit antenna. The Coalition to Save Our GPS disagreed with the company's prediction that the Federal Communications Commission would resolve the issue by the end of the year.
