Mail-order services, e-prescribing boost prescription drug adherence

Mail-service pharmacies and e-prescribing improve patient prescription drug adherence, according to a study in The American Journal of Medicine. "Everyone has been trying to get more doctors to use health information technology," lead author Michael Fischer said. "And we're saying that getting a prescription sent directly to the pharmacy or the mail-order pharmacy really makes a difference."
