Australian school embeds professional learning in the classroom

Citing research that the quality of the classroom teacher has the greatest impact on student learning, some officials in Australia are calling for a greater emphasis on professional development for teachers. At one primary school in Sydney, educators already are working collaboratively to integrate professional learning in the classroom. At the school, teachers work in small teams to teach large classes, offering feedback and helping each other to improve.
