Twisted Sister, the 1970s and '80s hair-metal band, is still a viable business, performing a handful of lucrative gigs annually and fielding a steady stream of licensing requests. That's because beneath the glam, the band members were dedicated musicians and shrewd businessmen, says guitarist Jay Jay French. "A well-run company should be an iceberg. The product you sell is the tip. But underneath the surface lies your expertise," he says.
