Higher dietary fiber intake cuts inflammation, obesity risk

A study in the American Journal of Medicine found individuals in the top 20% of dietary fiber consumption had lower odds of developing metabolic syndrome, inflammation or obesity compared with those who consumed less fiber. However, researchers noted that most Americans are not getting the recommended amount of fiber in their diets.
