How companies can reduce gender bias

Sexism in the workplace isn't as obvious as it once was, but women are still judged unfairly, according to INSEAD professor Herminia Ibarra. Women are "being told, 'Go for it,' but when they do, they're told they're too abrasive and have sharp elbows," she said. Hiring managers can help fight against unconscious bias by carefully deliberating before making decisions, Ibarra said.
