Monthly retainer model may be the future for financial planning

To achieve wide acceptance in the middle market, financial planning fees must be recurring in nature, affordable and sufficiently "bite-sized" to feel affordable to the client, writes financial author and speaker Michael Kitces. "The solution that fits all of these requirements: the monthly retainer model, or what I like to call the 'financial planning subscription' model," he writes.
