Ore. teachers work together to prepare ELL students for the common core

English-as-a-second-language teachers and content teachers are collaborating in an Oregon school to develop strategies to help English-language learners succeed under the Common Core State Standards. If ELL students are to meet the same rigorous standards as their peers in preparation for college and career, educators say, it will take such collaboration and more professional development for teachers. Educators who teach students in special-education programs argue for similar collaboration and support.
