Petroleum engineering major is tops for earnings

Petroleum engineering leads NPR's list of college majors with the highest earnings, at $120,000. Nuclear engineering was third at $110,000, with chemical engineering ninth at $95,000. The list, developed by researchers at Georgetown University's Center on Education and the Workforce, includes both bachelor's and graduate degrees.
