Study finds varying levels of clinical data exchange among physicians

An Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT study revealed 87% of physicians with an EHR system can view electronic lab results and 73% were able to incorporate such data into their EHR system, compared with only 67% and 42% of all doctors, respectively. Researchers also found a higher number of doctors with EHRs can provide clinical summaries to patients and other providers.
