Texas schools use gardens as outdoor classrooms

Students in some Texas schools are learning about nutrition, math, science, social studies and other subjects through school gardens. About 100 schools in the state participate in the REAL School Gardens program, in which students tend to the crops, which in turn provide food and hands-on lessons in the various subjects.
