FDA issues alert about anti-depression medications

An alert was issued Monday by the Food and Drug Administration that pediatric patients suffering from major depressions thought about or attempted suicide in clinical trials of antidepressants. Although the report did not say that patients should stop taking drugs without consulting their health care provider, but it said close supervision of high-risk patients was necessary.
