Report: Technology advances to boost global 3-D imaging market

Technological innovations, visualization methods and image-related procedures could help the worldwide market for 3-D medical-imaging devices to hit $3.9 billion by 2012, according to a report from Global Industry Analysts. The report also estimated that by the same year, sales of CT scanners and MRI systems will surpass $2.7 billion.
