Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger reportedly told educators on Tuesday that he would push for $2 billion to $4 billion in education cuts, to be effective immediately, to help solve the state's financial problems, according to several people present at the meeting. "There is just no way we would be able to cut that much," said Scott Plotkin, the California School Boards Association's executive director. "For virtually every district I know of, this would be catastrophic."
