The possibility that budget cuts in Ireland could increase class sizes has many teachers concerned, especially about the impact of going from 20 students to 28 in lower grades. "I really notice the difference when a couple of my students are out," one primary-school teacher said. "You can give more attention to individual children. It's hugely important."
