Owner plans $15M restoration of hurricane-damaged Galveston hotel

Landry's Restaurants says it plans to restore the landmark Flagship Hotel in Galveston, Texas, which has sat in disrepair on its 1,000-foot pier since 2008, when it was badly damaged in Hurricane Ike. Landry's, which bought the hotel in 2004, says it will spend at least $15 million on the restoration, and will add a double-decker carousel and Ferris wheel to the pier.
