TSA changes pat-down technique

The Transportation Security Administration's new pat-down procedure involves what law enforcement officials describe as a hand-sliding motion rather than a traditional hand pat. The new technique is used when passengers opt out of the whole-body scan. The TSA is already using the procedure at some U.S. airports. Travelers will continue to receive the pat-downs from TSA agents who are the same gender as the traveler.
